I'm an experienced business leader, coach and corporate strategist but that's pretty much where the stereotype begins and ends. Beneath the conventional role titles, I'm curious about people and all the stuff that happens when they work together.
In my consulting world, I'm at my best when I'm part of a team. I get inspired when I believe that the future we've imagined is better than where we are now and justifies the pain involved in getting there. Ironically, this is also the place where I discover the smallest version of me. Self-doubt lives here fear visits often. I learn a lot about me during the course of my working day. I think in a strange way that's why I keep finding myself in this type of work.
It was my own experience of learning how to adapt and thrive in these types of roles that led me to begin studying and practising as a coach in 2012.
Black Crayon exists to provide 1:1 coaching and advice specifically for people dealing with disruption.
It's a Collective because I believe there is a community of extraordinary practice that hasn't connected. There's a different way of working that hasn't been fully explored yet. Over time, I hope to discover ways to grow confidence and community for everyone who identifies as part of the Collective.
